What Is Express Entry?

Express Entry is an online immigration system created by the Government of Canada to manage and process applications of skilled workers seeking to immigrate to Canada permanently.

To submit your Express Entry profile, you have to first meet the eligibility rules for at least one of the major federal economic immigration programs. Once you qualify, you can create a profile, enter the pool, & wait for an invitation to apply for permanent residence.

Simple, transparent, and online-based system.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a job offer for Express Entry?

No, you do not need a job offer. Most people invited do not have one. However, a valid job offer can give you up to 200 extra CRS points.

How long does the process take?

Express Entry is renowned for its fast processing. The whole process can take as little as six months from submitting your application to receiving your visa.

Will the CRS score go down?

It is not possible to predict future CRS scores. No lawyer or consultant can guarantee the cut-off score as it changes with each draw.

Why is my Express Entry score zero?

This means your profile does not meet minimum eligibility. Common reasons include expired test results, ECA reports, or insufficient funds.

Can I apply while I am in Canada?

Yes. You can submit a profile from inside Canada. Many applicants apply while on temporary work or study permits.

Can I apply to Express Entry twice?

No. You cannot have two profiles for the same person at the same time. However, you can resubmit after 12 months if not invited.

Important Warning

Providing false information is considered misrepresentation and can result in a 5-year ban from applying for Canadian immigration. Always ensure your profile matches your supporting documents exactly.
